Carol Anne Emory was the President/Owner of Emory Law Group 1989 – 2015.

Ms. Emory was a graduate of the University of California School of Law at Berkeley (Boalt Hall). She received her B.A. degree from Mary Baldwin College in Virginia.

Ms. Emory was a member of the Oregon State Bar, a Member and Fellow of the American Bar Association, and member of the International Bar Association

Ms. Emory chaired the International Section of the Oregon State Bar 1989-1990. She was an Advisory Board member for the Law & Entrepreneurship Center, a very successful clinical program training students for business under joint sponsorship of the Business and Law Schools, University of Oregon.

Her private practice focused on international business, export and import trade, technology licensing, trademarks, intellectual property, product distribution, marketing and manufacturing agreements. Ms. Emory consulted on international commercial litigation, criminal defense and privacy issues. Ms. Emory practiced in Amsterdam representing technology companies establishing offices in Europe and European companies marketing product in the U.S., then became Of Counsel to Perkins Coie in the firm's International Group from 1985-1989. Earlier, she served as Legal Counsel and Division Legal Counsel with the Bechtel Group of Companies in San Francisco, Gaithersburg, and Washington, D.C.

Ms. Emory taught and lectured frequently on cross-border contract negotiations, drafting for multiple jurisdictions and international business transactions. She taught as Visiting Professor of International Law at Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College. Ms. Emory chaired the American Bar Association’s Task Force on the revised Code of Ethics for Commercial Arbitrators, collaborating with the American Arbitration Association to generate the widely adopted ABA/AAA 2004 version of the Ethics Code.

Ms. Emory served as Regional Coordinator for the Federal Bar Association’s Export Legal Assistance Network ("ELAN") in collaboration with the U.S. Small Business Administration until 2015.
